"What we carry, we will leak it."
I came across this analogy a
few days ago. At first, I did not understand what it means. But the more I
think about it, the more it made sense to me. What we feed our mind, will
determine how we think. When we feed our minds with the world, we will begin to
think, act and behave like the world. But if we fill our minds with the things
of God, we will begin to think, act and behave like God.
The more we carry all our
life’s junk, long enough it will begin to leak out for people to see. We may
try to cover it up and tell people that we are all right, but the truth is, we
are really not all right. But we cover our lives with lies and deceptions
thinking that we can make it.
I like how Pastor Anand said
this one time. He said that we cannot fake anointing. And that phrase has been
stuck in my head ever since. Why? Because it is so true! Anointing only comes
from God. Although we can pretend and put on a mask to cover it up, sooner or
later, the make up will eventually fade away and our true colours will begin to
show.
Similarly, when we are so
filled with the presence of God, we will also leak it out. People will see that
you have been spending time with God, a lot, because your actions will show it,
your speech will show it, and your thoughts will show it.
“Watch over your heart with all
diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.” – Proverbs 4v23
